With a desire to find a digital mortgage software that provided exceptional customer support, an intuitive broker experience with direct to lender submission, and innovative integration capabilities, Spectrum hired external consultant Root Evolution to assist in identifying possible candidates. Root engaged in a process to build a comprehensive strategy to understand Spectrum and its business needs. A digital roadmap was built, aligning with Spectrum’s business strategy, to identify key priorities and gaps. Root then dug into all available providers in the Canadian mortgage space to determine the solution to best meet Spectrum’s needs from a functionality, performance, and pricing perspective.

Half a dozen providers were reviewed, with Root ultimately recommending Finmo based on solution capabilities and overall fit. Spectrum had already considered Finmo the platform with the best customer support and reliability. Building on that, Root determined that Finmo's Integration capabilities satisfied Spectrum’s business needs and processes; allowing Spectrum to maintain systems already in place and integrate seamlessly into Finmo.
The analysis was specifically focused on identifying a system that provided an optimal client (borrower) experience when interacting with Spectrum while also allowing Spectrum’s mortgage brokers and support staff to become more efficient and increase productivity. Root found it offered a seamless onboarding experience and the direct-to-lender submission and compliance management features were the best options to enable Spectrum to streamline their processes quickly and easily.
